A 69-year-old woman has died after a serious crash in Delta, B.C., Sunday afternoon. Officers, firefighters and paramedics were called to the collision at the intersection of 116th Street and 77A Avenue just after 12 p.m., the Delta Police Department said in a statement Sunday afternoon. Despite life-saving efforts from paramedics, the woman, a passenger in one of the cars, died at the scene. While the investigation remains ongoing, impairment does not appear to be a factor in the collision, police said. Motorists are being advised of a road closure on 116th Street, between 75A Avenue and 80th Avenue, that will remain in place for the rest of Sunday afternoon. “Please use an alternate route and avoid the area,” the statement said. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam video is asked to contact the Delta Police Department at 604 946 4411 and reference file number 25-17692.
