The warm summer weather has arrived in B.C., but that hasn’t stopped one alleged thief from stocking up on jackets. The Whistler detachment of the Sea to Sky RCMP is asking the public to identify a man they say is responsible for stealing a number of jackets from stores across B.C. and Alberta. Mounties were called to a retail store in Whistler on May 15 for reports of a theft. Investigators were able to get photos of the man who they say is to blame. He is described as a Caucasian man with light brown facial hair, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 220 pounds. He was wearing dark-rimmed glasses, a white shirt, tan-coloured jacket, light blue jeans, black and white running shoes and a mustard-yellow fedora-style hat at the time of the theft. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to contact the Sea to Sky RCMP at (604) 932-3044 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the website www.solvecrime.ca.
