A stabbing victim was hospitalized on Thursday night, and police say both the suspect’s location and public risk in Kelowna remain unknown. Kelowna RCMP say officers were called to the area of Dilworth and Summit drives at around 10:15 p.m. with reports of a stabbing. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and police say they began looking for the suspect. “Police Dog Services attended the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Police believe the suspect to have initially fled on a scooter,” Kelowna RCMP said, in a release, noting the scooter was found abandoned and seized by police. “Due to the victim’s condition at the time, investigators were initially unable to obtain detailed information regarding the circumstances of the incident. As a result, the risk to the public remains unknown.” Police say they’re still searching for the suspect and have asked anyone with information, or dash camera or CCTV video from the area on Thursday night, to call the Kelowna RCMP and quote file number 2026-57451.
