Days after a deadly home invasion in B.C.’s Shuswap region, investigators are asking for the public’s help locating a trio of suspects. Authorities said the incident unfolded around 3 a.m. last Friday in Salmon Arm, at a property near 4th Street and 2nd Avenue. “The investigation has determined that three suspects, believed to be two males and one female, entered the residence,” Salmon Arm RCMP said in a news release Tuesday. “An altercation occurred and one resident sustained a gunshot wound.” That victim later died, authorities said. Salmon Arm RCMP believe the suspects fled in a black Chrysler 300, described as having “three matching wheels, a solid steel wheel on the rear passenger side, and a sunroof.” On Friday evening, the Chrysler was found burned in the Glenemma Trailhead parking lot at the Kelly Mountain Recreation Site, authorities said. As investigators work to track down the suspects, they have asked anyone who was in the area of the home invasion early Friday morning, saw the suspect vehicle before it was burned, or has video that could be relevant to the case to come forward. “Anyone who sees the suspects is asked not to approach them and to call 911 immediately,” Salmon Arm RCMP said.
