Police say suspect exposed himself to restaurant employee in Richmond, B.C.

Police in Richmond, B.C., are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a masked man who allegedly exposed himself to a restaurant employee earlier this summer.

The indecent act was reported to the Richmond RCMP just before 3 a.m. on July 5, when the victim told police that a man entered her workplace in the 4700 block of McClelland Road and then proceeded to the bathroom.

He left the restaurant a short while later but then returned, saying he forgot his phone in the bathroom, police said in a news release Wednesday.

“After exiting the washroom the second time, the man allegedly stood by the counter of the restaurant and proceeded to expose himself to the victim,” the release said.

The victim told the man she was calling the police, at which point the man left the business.

Investigators have released surveillance images of the suspect, who they describe as a white man, approximately 25 years old, standing 5’ 11” tall with dark eyes.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, a black toque, a black face mask, grey sweatpants and black shoes at the time of the offence, according to police.

More than two months after the incident was reported, police say the investigation remains “active and ongoing.”
