A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning near the community of Aldergrove, B.C. Mounties responded to the collision scene at 264 Street and 0 Avenue, near the Canada-United States border, at approximately 6:42 a.m. Police, paramedics and firefighters located the victim and performed first aid. “Despite immediate life-saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP, in a statement. Police said road closures and traffic disruptions would remain in effect in the area for “several hours” while the investigation into the collision is underway. Drivers are asked to avoid the area, if possible. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-camera video related to the investigation is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604 -532-3200.
