Nude man spotted on trail in B.C.’s Fraser Valley

Police are asking the public for information on a nude man who was spotted walking on a trail in B.C.’s Fraser Valley this week.

The Abbotsford Police Department said officers received two separate reports from witnesses who saw the man on the Eagle Mountain trails around noon Monday.

“Callers mentioned a man walking with a large stick, possibly exhibiting signs of mental health issues based on his behaviour,” Sgt. Paul Walker told CTV News, in an email.

The trails are located in a heavily forested area near a number of homes – and they have been busy recently as the weather has improved, Walker said.

The witnesses described the nude individual as a white man in his 50s, with shoulder-length brown hair. Neither of them saw him interacting with anyone else on the trails.

No further reports have come in since Monday, Walker said, but police are continuing to investigate.

“All attempts to locate this man have been unsuccessful to date,” he said. “We are asking the public to come forward with any additional information they may have to assist us.”
