The Vancouver Police Department have confirmed one man has died following a crash in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood Thursday morning. First responders say they were called to reports of the incident just after 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and East 10th Avenue. Police say a motorcycle was involved in a collision with a hatchback. A helmet and other belongings could be seen scattered on the street near the heavily damaged motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a 63-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital but did not survive, according to a statement from the Vancouver Police Department. Police have not released any information on the driver of the hatchback but did confirm they remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. The busy intersection was closed off for around two hours while investigators gathered evidence from the area. The VPD Collision Investigation Unit will continue to work to try and determine a cause of the collision.
