Man arrested after ‘object’ thrown into ambulance window, B.C. RCMP say

Mounties have arrested a man in connection with an unusual incident in northern B.C. that left two paramedics injured last week.

Authorities said an “object” was thrown into the window of a moving ambulance Thursday afternoon in Prince George, striking one of the two paramedics inside.

Both of them were taken to hospital for treatment of what the RCMP previously described as non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, Prince George RCMP announced that one suspect has since been identified, taken into custody and released pending a future court appearance.

“We want to thank the witnesses who stepped forward to provide us with the information needed to make an arrest in this investigation,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, in a statement.

The RCMP hasn’t specified what kind of object was thrown into the ambulance. Authorities said their investigation into the incident is ongoing.
