Firefighters rescue driver after rollover crash in Port Moody

A driver was seriously injured in a rollover crash in Port Moody Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

First responders were called to the scene on Barnet Highway near Reed Point Road around 10:15 a.m. where the driver of a pickup had “lost control” and landed in a ditch, the Port Moody Police Department said in a statement.

“Port Moody Fire Rescue firefighters were able to cut open the vehicle and extract the driver. The driver sustained serious injuries and has been transported to hospital,” the statement said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and anyone who has information or dash-cam video is urged to call 604-461-3456.
