One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Abbotsford Saturday morning. The incident occurred in the 28000 block of Huntingdon Road, between Bradner and Lefeuvre roads, around 11:20 a.m., the Abbotsford Police Department said in a news release. “Emergency crews arrived to find a single vehicle that had rolled off the roadway into a water-filled ditch,” the release reads. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was extracted by Abbotsford firefighters, police said. “Despite life-saving efforts by first responders at the scene, the driver succumbed to their injuries,” the release continues. Police did not share any identifying details about the driver, such as the person’s age or gender. The Lower Mainland’s Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service is assisting with the investigation, police said, adding that Huntingdon Road would remain closed between Lefeuvre and Bradner roads for “several hours.” Police asked anyone who saw the collision, saw the vehicle in the ditch or has dash cam video of the incident to contact them at 604-859-5225 and cite file number 2025-53481.
