A province-wide 911 outage in Manitoba has been resolved. Bell Canada said late Wednesday afternoon that 911 service was restored to communities outside of Winnipeg following a brief outage. The company said a “third-party fibre cable cut” caused the outage. “We thank Manitobans for their patience as we work to address the damaged infrastructure,” a spokesperson said in an emailed statement. During the outage, people were told to call 911 as their first option. If they were unable to get through, they were urged to call the 10-digit phone number for their local police service, fire department or emergency department.
