Charges laid in fatal Surrey shooting

Two men have been charged with second-degree murder six months after Noel Jackson was gunned down at a Surrey home, police announced Monday.

Jonathan Michael Kishimoto, 21, and Michael Alexander Ross, 24, have been arrested and charged in the murder, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said.

Jackson, 21, who moved to Metro Vancouver from Ontario just before his death, was killed at a home in the 12400-block of 70th Avenue on May 3.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound said Jackson was at the house with friends after drinking at a bar together.

According to Pound, after a verbal argument two men left the house and returned with a gun and another man.

Two of the three men allegedly entered the home and fatally shot Jackson while the third man waited outside. Pound said the three men fled the scene.

Kishimoto appears in Surrey provincial court Monday and Ross is set to appear on Tuesday.
