Two men have been charged following a year‑long drug trafficking investigation led by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia. CFSEU-BC said in a statement Thursday that two suspects were arrested on June 24, 2025, four months after its Anti-Trafficking Task Force launched an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity involving multiple individuals. On the same day, investigators executed search warrants at the respective homes of the suspects—33-year-old Kousha Vahabi Adl of Coquitlam and 59-year-old Jerry William Lyons of Chilliwack. “Throughout this investigation, officers seized cocaine, fentanyl, morphine, hydromorphone, methamphetamine, cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia, including packaging materials, and cell phones,” said the CFSEU-BC release. The police agency did not specify the quantity or value of the items seized, and a spokesperson told CTV News that no further details can be provided while the investigation is before the courts. Prosecutors approved charges against Lyons and Adl on March 15, 2026. At that point, neither man was in custody but both turned themselves in once warrants for their arrest were issued. Both men are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and Adl also faces one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking morphine, hydromorphone, methamphetamine and fentanyl. “Drug trafficking operations like this don’t just move illicit substances, they endanger our communities,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha of CFSEU-BC. “With the arrest of the accused and the laying of serious trafficking charges, we are holding those responsible accountable.” Sangha tells CTV News that, unless the Crown prosecutor requests more information, the investigation has concluded and no other individuals are being charged at this time.
