Police are searching for a second suspect after 71 vehicle break-ins in Mississauga earlier this month. Police said on Saturday that the “large-scale break-in spree” occurred in the early morning hours of Sept. 3 and 6 throughout a number of neighbourhoods. “Investigators allege that vehicles were unlawfully entered, either by smashing windows or taking advantage of unlocked doors, and valuables were stolen,” police said. They noted that no vehicles were stolen and all were unoccupied during the incidents. In a news release on Saturday, police said 33-year-old Andrea Cederberg of no fixed address is wanted for 23 counts of attempt to commit an indictable offence, nine counts of mischief over $5,000, nine counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of theft over $5,000. The incidents involving Cederberg, police said, are connected to the arrest of 34-year-old Cory Lowden earlier this week. Lowden is facing more than 78 charges in connection with the incidents. Police said they have identified potential connections to similar incidents in Toronto, Halton, York and Waterloo regions. “Police continue to work with policing partners across the Greater Toronto Area to determine the full scope of the alleged activities,” they said.
