Toronto Fire responded to a two-alarm fire at a business on Danforth Avenue in Scarborough on Sunday morning, reporting heavy smoke coming from the building on arrival. In a post on social media, Toronto police say the fire broke out in the area of Danforth and Pharmacy avenues at around 8:30 a.m. Fire crews say the incident happened at a former kickboxing gym at 3246 Danforth Ave. The building is reportedly under construction, they said. Crews have now knocked down the main body of the fire and there are no reported injuries at this time. Firefighters remain on scene. As a result, the TTC says the 113 Danforth bus is detouring via Pharmacy Avenue, Denton Avenue and Byng Avenue because of the incident. Roads in the area were closed but have reopened. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
