Suspect wanted after victim chased with knife in East York

Police say they are searching for one suspect wanted in a threatening investigation.

Police are searching for a man who allegedly chased down a victim with a knife and threatened their pet during an altercation in East York last month.

On June 20 shortly before 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a person with a knife in the area of Donlands avenue and Mortimer avenue.

Police allege that there was an altercation between two people, during which the suspect produced a knife and chased the victim and swung the knife at them.

Police said the suspect also allegedly threatened to harm or kill the victim’s pet.

On Wednesday, police provided a description for the suspect, who is believed to be six feet tall with a thin build, black beard, and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey striped shirt, black sweater, blue jeans, black sunglasses, and grey sneakers with white soles.
