Oshawa mother, boyfriend charged in death of eight-month-old baby

OSHAWA, Ont. -- Durham regional police say an Oshawa, Ont., mother and her boyfriend are facing charges following a homicide investigation into the death of an eight-month-old boy.

Police say the boy was found dead by officers responding to a call to an Oshawa apartment on Dec. 29, 2016.

An autopsy ruled Kaleb McKay's death a homicide and found he died from numerous injuries.

Investigators say they have arrested the child's mother and her boyfriend.

The 26-year-old mother is charged with manslaughter.

And a 25-five-year-old man is charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm.
