Saskatoon woman dies following crash between motorcycle and vehicle

WATCH: A 22-year-old woman is dead after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Saskatoon Thursday.

A 22-year-old woman was killed after her motorcycle crashed with a vehicle on University Drive on Thursday morning.

The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m., prompting the closure of the University Bridge in both directions for several hours, according to a release from the Saskatoon Police Service.

In an update around 4:43 p.m., Saskatoon police said the traffic restrictions were lifted.

According to police, the woman, who was the operator of the motorcycle, was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the collision analyst unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
