Forensic and major crime investigators are gathering evidence in the death of a 77-year-old Saskatoon woman, the city’s seventh homicide of the year, according to the Saskatoon Police Service. Police say patrol officers were first called to the scene, a home in the 200 block of Avenue R South, around 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. There, they found a 77-year-old woman dead inside. The scene was handed off to the Major Crime and Forensic sections to investigate, the Saskatoon Police Service says. Saskatoon police are asking anyone with information relevant to the investigation to call police or Crime Stoppers.
