Ninety RVs rolled into Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park for Saskatchewan’s largest RV show and sale. “We’ve got a little bit of everything for everybody. We’ve got motorhomes, fifth wheels, small campers, park models, bunk models and couples’ models. So we’ve got 20 brands to pick from,” said Cameron Eddolls, the general manager at Traveland RV Martensville. Presented by Traveland RV, Martensville, the show brings in 90 RVs for visitors to admire, inside and out. Eddolls said those in Saskatchewan are particularly keen on camping thanks to everything the land has to offer. “We’ve got basically some of the best lakes in the country and our parks are beautiful. Sask Parks does a wonderful job. There’s just so much space here. So it’s a great way to see the province in all of our wonderful parks,” Eddolls said. Eddolls added that the science behind campers and motorhomes continues to improve, which is one of the reasons many folks are eager to come see what is new in the world of RVs. “The cool things that they’re seeing this year, like as the technology evolves and what they’re putting into the campers and just how things are changing for the better for your camping experience,” Eddolls said. He added that many of the new bells and whistles that come along with newer models look quite different from what many people imagine RVs to be. “Even some of the levelling systems, some of the construction aspects of the campers, they have over eight different materials in the walls, like projector TVs, different lighting systems, different concepts when you’re placing different floor layouts. You’ve got bunks in a different area now,” Eddolls said. Eddolls added that it certainly took some preparation and planning in order to bring nearly 100 RVs into one space. “We technically bring them in and set everything up in two days. But it takes about a week and a half before to bring them all here and then clean them and do all that kind of fun stuff, but it’s a labour of love,” Eddolls said. And that labour of love certainly paid off over the weekend. Eddolls shared that the feedback he received from those who visited the show was very encouraging. “The new looks, just how sharp things are, how nice things are. We’ve got some really great compliments on the show itself. Just the way the display is, the team members here, the product specialists, just a very friendly, low pressure kind of vibe, just getting information,” Eddolls said.
