Saskatchewan RCMP say they have arrested a man who fled into a wooded area while in handcuffs. In an update sent Friday afternoon, RCMP said 20-year-old Navarone Singer was arrested July 24 on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation. RCMP had been searching for Singer since July 19 after officers conducted a traffic stop on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation and determined he was breaching release order conditions. Singer was arrested for failing to comply with release order conditions but ran into a wooded area while being escorted to a police vehicle in handcuffs. Officers searched on foot but were unable to find him at the time. As a result of further investigation, Singer was additionally charged with one count of being unlawfully at large and one count of resisting or obstructing a peace officer. He is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on July 27.
