Sask. RCMP launch homicide investigation after man found dead in parking lot 

RCMP are investigating after a man was found dead in a parking lot in North Battleford on Friday.

RCMP are investigating after a man was found dead in a business parking lot in North Battleford on Friday morning.

RCMP say officers were called around 7:45 a.m. for a report of an injured man on the lot off Highway 16.

Officers immediately responded and located the man who was declared dead by EMS at the scene.

Police have identified the victim as a 30‑year‑old man from North Battleford.

His family has been notified.

RCMP say the death is considered suspicious, prompting the Homicide Investigation Unit to take over the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

There will be an increased police presence near the Highway 16 Bypass for an undetermined amount of time.

RCMP say no additional details are available but updates will be provided when possible.
