A runway at Saskatoon International Airport was shut down Wednesday morning after a Cessna 310 landed with its wheels still tucked away. An airport spokesperson told CTV News the incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m. on a secondary runway. No injuries were reported, but the airport said the plane was incapacitated and still stuck on the runway by 11 a.m., “awaiting removal to a nearby facility.” An airport employee told CTV News the privately-owned Cessna 310 was registered to a local flight school. The runway will be closed for takeoffs and landings until Thursday morning. However, a portion is still open as a taxiway, according to a notice that went out to personnel. The airport’s primary runway remains open and the airport is fully operational.
