18-year-old charged in connection to Saskatoon’s first homicide of the year

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to Saskatoon’s first homicide of 2026.

At around 5:30 a.m., on Feb. 3, police received a report that two men, both 25 years of age, were at St. Paul’s Hospital seeking treatment for stab wound injuries, Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release.

One man succumbed to his injuries while the other is in stable condition.

Following investigation, the 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault.

Police say he will see a Justice of the Peace Saturday evening.
