Star Wars hits Regina theatres

The countdown to Christmas is still on, but for Star Wars fans, the day they’ve been waiting for is finally here.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuts in select theatres today in Regina ahead of the full launch on Friday. The first showing is at 7 p.m. at both Cineplex theatres and tickets are still available for several showings.

The movie is also playing at the Imax at the Saskatchewan Science Centre, which is the only Imax theatre in Canada showing the movie projected on film rather than a digital projection. Tickets for the Imax are sold out until Wednesday December 23^rd.
