The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue to bolster their receiver room, with the team announcing the signing of American wide receiver Shemar Bridges on Tuesday. Bridges, a big target at six-foot four and 208-pounds, most recently played with the Hamilton Tiger Cats over the past three seasons. The Florida native recorded 933 yards on 83 receptions and four touchdowns in his first season and was named the East Division’s 2024 most outstanding rookie for his strong performance. Bridges, 28, played all 18 games in 2025, registering 34 receptions for 361 years and two touchdowns. In the Eastern Final, he recorded four receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Before joining the CFL, Bridges signed with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. Prior to that, he played three seasons at Fort Valley State University. He appeared in 16 games from 2019-21, recording 92 receptions for 1,358 yards and seven touchdowns.
