Regina Pats unveil new theme for 2025 season

WATCH: The Regina Pats unveiled a new theme and slogan, “Blue Runs Deep,” ahead of its next season, with an opportunity for fans to join the “Blue Brigade.”

The Regina Pats have unveiled a new theme for the team ahead of its 2025-26 season – promising to honour the team’s hometown and fan base.

The Pats showed off their new slogan, “Blue Runs Deep” during an event Tuesday morning.

“They’re not just a team in Regina. They’re a team of Regina,” Gord Pritchard, CEO of Queen City Sports said in the announcement.

“‘Blue Runs Deep’ is our way of saying this team belongs to everyone who calls this place home. It’s not just about watching hockey. It’s about representing your city and recognizing your place in the Pats’ legacy.”

“We’ve had great themes in the past, such as ‘Join the Regiment’ and ‘See Them Rise’ or ‘Ignite,” Pritchard said. “Those have been great, but it seems when we get to the end of the season, we’ve just got everybody on board, and then we’re switching.”

While general manager Dale Derkatch, head coach Brad Herauf and 2025 first overall pick Maddox Schultz sat at the podium - the day was made to show the Pats as a brand.

“There’s a whole entire team on the business side that puts in a lot of effort and is doing a lot of great work to make the Pats go every day,” he said.

“We see the hockey side, the coaches, the players and the manager(s). But the business team, they’re working very hard behind the scenes every day. They don’t get the rest of the recognition, but they do a fantastic job of putting us in a great position to put on a great season, both on and off the ice.”

In addition to the new slogan, the team is launching an exclusive fan community dubbed the “Blue Brigade.” The team says the community will provide special advantages such as a team newsletter, gameday and store perks, contests and giveaways, as well as exclusive events.

The Pats’ training camp officially hits the ice next Wednesday, highlighted by first overall pick Maddox Schultz, and will be the 108th season in franchise history.

The Pats will kick off their season on Sept. 26, with a matchup against the Prince Albert Raiders.
