Athlete of the week

Athletes from around the province will be recognized for their athletic achievements in the weekly CTV Local Athlete of the Week feature. Parents, coaches, friends will be encouraged to nominate their favorite athlete for the chance to be the Athlete of the Week. Nominations will include the athlete’s name, photo, brief video clip, team name and stats.

Remember to please attach athlete’s name, photo, brief video clip, team name and stats. No video files over 5 MB please.

There are just a few guidelines to follow before we can air the video:

• Keep it short, sweet and to the point: The promotion can’t run longer than 25 seconds on our newscast, so be sure to keep it quick.

• Make sure to hold your camera or phone horizontally — not vertically —when recording the video, so that it resembles a TV.

• Check your video once it’s shot.
