After a one-day break, the trial of Sen. Mike Duffy resumed in Ottawa on Wednesday with testimony from Gerry Donohue, a longtime friend and former colleague of Duffy's.

Duffy is charged with 31 counts of fraud, bribery, and breach of trust. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Six of the charges relate to $65,000 in Senate contracts awarded to Donohue between 2009 and 2012.

CTV's Katie Simpson live-tweeted the trial from Ottawa.
