Rideau Canal Skateway

The green flag is flying on the Rideau Canal Skateway this weekend.

The full 7.8-kilometre stretch of the skateway is open between Rideau and Dow’s Lake, along with the stretch to the Carleton University Library.

Ottawa Boat and Outdoors Show

Get ready for summer at the Ottawa Boat and Outdoors Show this weekend.

Check out exhibits ranging from boats, fishing, powersports options or paddle sports experiences.

The Ottawa Boat and Outdoors Show runs until Sunday at the EY Centre.

Ottawa 67’s

The Ottawa 67’s are home twice this weekend at the Arena at TD Place.

On Friday, the 67’s host the Niagara Ice Dogs at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, the North Bay Battalion visit Ottawa for a 3 p.m. game.

Senators Skills

Your favourite Ottawa Senators will show off their skills on Sunday at Canadian Tire Centre.

The Sens Skills Competition, presented by CAA North and East, begins at 1 p.m.

Chinatown New Year Parade

The 2026 Chinatown New Year Parade is Saturday in Ottawa’s Chinatown neighbourhood.

The Ottawa Chinatown Business Improvement Area is celebrating the Year of the Horse.

The parade will feature lively lion and dragon dances, cultural performances and a festive procession through Chinatown. The parade begins at 12 p.m.

RCMP Musical Ride Open House

The RCMP is inviting you to tour the stables and meet the horses of the RCMP Musical Ride.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Musical Ride Centre on Sandridge Road.

Admission is free, but a non-perishable food item and cash donations will be collected to support the Ottawa Food Bank.

The Lansdowne Farmers’ Market winter market is Sunday at Lansdowne.

Metcalfe Farmers Market

The Metcalfe Farmers Market – February Fresh Farmers Market is Saturday at the Greely Community Centre.

Over 50 local producers will be on display, featuring fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts and more.

Skating/sledding

Ottawa’s four refrigerated rinks will be open this weekend. The four rinks are:

• Rink of Dreams at Ottawa City Hall
• Lansdowne Park skating court
• Jim Tubman Chevrolet Rink at Canterbury
• Ben Franklin Place skating rink.

The City of Ottawa says sledding hills will be open.

Rideau Hall Rink

Glide into history at the Rideau Hall Rink this winter.

There is public skating on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Parliament: The Immersive Experience at 211 Sparks Street includes an exhibition and a 360-degree multimedia show that takes you on a tour through Centre Block, which has been closed since 2019.

The self-guided tour is 45 minutes.
