A furry stowaway found inside a transport truck in Cornwall, Ont., has prompted an interprovincial search for the cat’s owner. A post on the Lost and Found Pets of Ottawa and Surrounding Areas Facebook page said a cat was found inside a transport truck trailer at the Walmart warehouse on April 1. “The cat came on a trailer from Montreal, specifically the origin is from the Walmart Supercentre located at 3121 Av de Granby, Montreal,” said the post. “The cat was safely located by Walmart Logistics associates inside the trailer in Cornwall, Ontario.” The post says the cat is black and white, with a white right eye. It is wearing a multi-colour collar with pink, but there is no tag with a phone number. “The cat is safe and being looked after by Walmart logistics staff members,” the post said. According to the Facebook post, Walmart staff have contacted the SPCA in Montreal and posted it in several Montreal lost pet groups. Cornwall is located 114 km from Montreal.
