The Ottawa Police Service says two 25-year-olds are facing dozens of charges in connection with a string of break-ins at businesses across the city. The investigation began in February, following reports of thefts of electronics, cosmetics, perfumes, and cannabis. Two suspects were arrested last Thursday following a break-in at a Kanata electronics store, police said. Ottawa police say the two suspects are facing a combined 75 charges including breaking and entering, assaulting police, wearing a disguise with intent, possession of break-in instruments, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and mischief. Police say additional charges could be laid as investigators examine links to other reported break-ins. Police would not say how many businesses were broken into when asked, citing the ongoing investigation.
