Ottawa police investigate report of gunshot in Lowertown

Ottawa police are investigating a possible shooting in Lowertown.

Police said on X that officers were responding to the area of York Street and Beausoleil Drive Monday afternoon after reports of hearing a gunshot.

“We are not aware of any injuries at this time,” police said.

There is an increased presence of officers in the area for the investigation.
