Ottawa man charged for importing sex doll resembling child, police say

Ottawa police say a 41-year-old man from Ottawa is facing child sexual abuse and exploitation charges after allegedly importing a sex doll that resembled a child.

Police say they executed a search warrant in Ottawa’s east end on Dec. 30, where they arrested and charged the individual.

The man has been charged with importing and unlawful possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information relevant to the case is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5660.
