Ottawa firefighters rescue cat stuck in vehicle’s dashboard area

On Christmas Eve, Ottawa firefighters came to the rescue of Snickers, a cat who got stuck inside a vehicle’s dashboard area.

Ottawa Fire Services says a mother and daughter went to Station 41 on Eagleson Road on Wednesday after their brand-new kitten got lodged behind the vehicle’s glove compartment.

After bringing the vehicle back to Station 41, firefighters carefully took apart the dashboard to reach the lost kitten.

“After a delicate extrication from a very tight space, Snickers was safely freed without injury,” Ottawa Fire Services wrote in a social media post.

“Just another reminder that our Firefighters are always ready to help, no matter how small the call.”
