OPP seize guns and drugs following investigation in Gananoque, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say they seized drugs and guns and charged a person with multiple offences following a drug investigation in Gananoque, Ont.

According to a news release from the OPP, officers executed a search warrant for a vehicle and a home on North Street on Thursday following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the area.

Police say they arrested a 39-year-old from Gananoque and seized a replica handgun, a .22 calibre rifle, nearly 50 grams of suspected cocaine and Canadian cash.

The 39-year-old is facing multiple charges, including possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
