OPP investigating stolen backhoe in Clarence-Rockland

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a backhoe was stolen from a Clarence-Rockland property early Monday morning.

According to statement on social media from OPP, a 2015 Case 580 backhoe was stolen from a property near Summit Private at 3 a.m.

A white flatbed tow truck was used to transport the backhoe away from the property, and a white SUV was seen “canvassing” the area prior to the theft.

OPP ask anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact them at 1‑888‑310‑1122. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
