OPP investigating death of inmate at Millhaven Institution

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Millhaven Institution in Bath, Ont.

According to a news release from police, 28-year-old Darian Daignault sustained life-threatening injuries during an incident involving other inmates on Sunday at the prison west of Kingston.

Daignault was transported to a local hospital and on Tuesday, he was pronounced dead.

Police say a post-mortem examination is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
