Ontario Provincial Police say four residents of Renfrew County are facing gun-related charges after being arrested in July. According to a news release from police, officers conducted a search warrant on a residence in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan township, which is approximately 180 kilometres west of Ottawa. Police say officers seized prohibited magazines, ammunition and 17 firearms. The four individuals, all residents of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan township, are facing multiple criminal offences. A 64-year-old is facing four counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition and one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm. A 66-year-old is facing four counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm and one count unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm. A 74-year-old is facing 15 counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm and one count unauthorized possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm. A 60-year-old is facing six counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, two counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and a single count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm. Two of the individuals were held for bail and later released, while two were released the day of their arrest. All four accused will appear in court next week.
