Families looking for an outdoor adventure in the national capital region can make the forest canopy their playground at Uplå Laflèche, a trampoline park built among the trees in Val-des-Monts, Que. Located about 30 kilometres north of Ottawa, the attraction features two levels of elevated netted walkways connecting nine giant trampolines suspended in the forest. Visitors can also climb, explore and race down large slides woven into the course. The park is aimed for participants aged five and older, with a two-hour admission priced at $35. Guests who prefer to watch, rather than participate, can enter the site for $10. “It’s not your typical Sunday activity,” says assistant manager Frederick Drouin. “It’s really something different that you can try, and you don’t have this a lot like around the city around here, where you can discover the largest trampoline park in North America.” The attraction is a popular destination for families seeking an active day outdoors, combining trampolines, climbing nets and elevated pathways in a peaceful wooded setting. While the park includes a designated relaxation area, which includes bean bag chairs, most visitors spend their time bouncing between trampolines, climbing through the netted trails, playing with large balls, and speeding down the slides. Uplå Laflèche is open daily through the end of August. Because of strong demand during the summer months, visitors are encouraged to reserve their admission online in advance.
