The City of Ottawa says O-Train Line 1 will be out of service Saturday and Sunday. The entire stretch of Line 1 from Tunney’s Pasture to Blair stations will be closed, with R1 bus service running all weekend. The city says this closure is to facilitate regular, planned maintenance that is necessary to ensure long-term sustainability and improvements to service reliability. “During the maintenance period, nearby residents may notice noise levels increase for short periods of time at different locations as work proceeds along Line 1,” the City of Ottawa says. Lines 2 and 4 will run on their normal weekend schedules. This comes after a week of evening maintenance on the line that has resulted in early shutdowns or reduced service. From 11:30 p.m. to the end of service Wednesday and Thursday, Line 1 will only run on one platform at some stations. While service will continue to run in both directions between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations, riders may experience longer wait times as a result.
