Prices have risen dramatically in Ottawa and across the country in recent weeks, after conflict in the Middle East shocked global energy markets. According to Gasbuddy.com, on Feb. 28, the day the U.S. and Israel sent military strikes into Iran, the average cost of gas in Ottawa was at under $1.29 per litre — over 30 cents lower than the current average.
