A portion of Lakeshore Drive in Barrie has been closed Tuesday afternoon due to a crash that sent an80-year-old to hospital. According to Barrie Fire and County of Simcoe Paramedics, a vehicle flipped over and one man has been transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The call came in just after 2 p.m. Traffic has been diverted at Lakeshore Drive and Tiffin Street as well as Lakeshore Drive and Victoria Street. Drivers are having to use Bradford Street to avoid the closure, clogging up already busy city streets for a drive home commute. Lakeshore Drive reopened at around 6 p.m. Emergency crews remain on scene as the investigation continues.
