Woman charged with careless driving after striking Ottawa chiropractic clinic

A driver has been charged after driving into an Ottawa chiropractic clinic Sunday afternoon.

Alta Vista Coun. Marty Carr posted a photo showing the front of the business with a blown out front window.

“My understanding is that a car drove into the window of Simply Chiropractic at 1569 Alta Vista Drive. I will provide more info when available,” Carr said.

The Ottawa Police Service tells CTV News in an email Monday that a woman in her 30s lost control of the vehicle and drove into the front of the building.

An Ottawa paramedics spokesperson says two people were in the car at the time.

One person from inside the car was assessed at the scene, but no one was taken to hospital.

The driver has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act, police say.
