There are no reports of injuries after a tent fire and explosion near a popular dog park and community garden in downtown Ottawa. Ottawa Fire Services said it received a call around 8:30 p.m. for a fire in area of the Tech Wall Dog Park and community garden near the intersection of Bronson and Laurier avenues. Video sent to CTV News Ottawa showed large flames and billowing black smoke coming from the park. Ottawa Fire Services Platoon Chief Steve Styles told CTV News Ottawa firefighters responded to a call for a tent on fire near the community garden. “Explosions were caused by small butane canisters,” Styles told CTV News in an email. On Thursday, an Ottawa Fire Services spokesperson said the fire was put out almost immediately after firefighters arrived. No one was at the scene when firefighters arrived and no one was in the tent. With files from CTV News Ottawa’s Austin Lee
