Thunder Bay man charged in stabbing, robbery

Police were called to the area of Court Street South shortly after 1 p.m. on Dec. 2.

“Once on scene, officers located a male victim who had been stabbed multiple times,” the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a news release.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment. Police reported the individual was in stable condition as of Dec. 4.

Following a search of the area, officers located and took a suspect into custody.

The 27-year-old accused has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing.

Also charged in previous crime

The police investigation also linked the accused to an earlier, unrelated crime.

Therefore, the man was also charged in relation to a robbery that took place at a convenience store on Cumberland Street North on Nov. 25.

The accused was held in custody pending future court appearances.
