Autopsies confirm the three victims causes of death were gunshot wounds.

The fourth death has also been confirmed as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

OPP continue to investigate the discovery of four bodies in Ryerson Township, near Sundridge last Friday evening.

Police say they are now treating the investigation as a triple murder – suicide, after determining one male and two females, who are all related, were killed in their home. It is believed that the other male that was found, took his own life and had a relationship with the family.

Two firearms, a long rifle and pistol were recovered from the home. However, police say the cause of death is still unknown, and they are now trying to determine when exactly the incident took place. Detective Inspector Martin Graham with Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Bureau says that based on the evidence, they believe that it occurred around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21st.

Meanwhile, people living in and around Ryerson Township are anxiously waiting for more details.

“It's sad, not shocking, but sad. I don't think it's shocking, not in today's world." said a local man.

"In small towns like this, you just don't have these sort of things happening. I'm from Sibs Ridge, the next town up, and everyone I know is hearing the same. We're not sure exactly what's gone on, but we've heard it's not very good and it's just disturbing. And you don't know if the people, or if there are kids involved, so yeah, these smaller rural towns, it makes it a little tougher because everybody knows everybody." said another man.

Police say a postmortem examination is being conducted in Toronto to determine the causes of death, and to confirm the identification of the deceased."

OPP release the names of the victims in the triple murder-suicide were three generations of the same family, that lived together in the home on Starratt Road, where they were found:

The fourth person has been identified as Mark Jones, 58.

The cause of death is still pending post mortem examinations.

The OPP is asking anyone who may have had contact with any of these individuals on Thursday, February 22 or Friday, February 23, 2018 to contact police.
