One person is in hospital with life-threatening injuries and a second has been injured – and charged – following an incident Monday morning on Terry Fox Place in Sault Ste. Marie. Police responded to a 911 call around 8:30 a.m. to a report of a person injured inside an apartment building. “Upon arrival, officers located two people -- one with life-threatening physical injuries and the other with serious physical injuries,” police said in a news release Sept. 21. “Both individuals were transported to hospital. One of the two people transported to hospital has been arrested and remains in police custody.” Detectives have been assigned to investigate, the release said, with support from patrol officers. “This is believed to be an isolated incident,” police said. “There is no threat to public safety. Further details will be released as they become available.”
