Pigeon needs a ride from North Bay to wildlife sanctuary near Parry Sound

The North Bay and District Humane Society is looking for someone willing to drive an injured pigeon to the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.

In a May 26 post, the society said they are in need of “a volunteer driver to take this beautiful, injured pigeon to our friends at Rosseau’s (Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary) as soon as possible.”

“This bird has an injured wing, a missing toe and came into our care caught up in fishing line around his/her feet,” the post said.

“She’s bright, alert, responsive and has the potential for good quality of life, so we hope we can find a compassionate driver as soon as possible.”
